What is Tailored-Fit
Tailored-Fit is a lightly fitted cut that is mainly used for shirts and T-shirts. The name refers to the time when people went to the tailor to have their clothes made to measure (fitted). A slimmer-cut shirt accentuates your build and gives your outfit a modern look, without giving up freedom of movement. The fit suits men with an average build best.
Tailored-Fit is slightly slimmer than Modern-Fit and roomier than Slim-Fit. Brands do not all interpret these names in the same way, so it pays to check the brand's size chart.
How do I recognise a Tailored-Fit?
First look at the garment's label. If it is hard to read or missing, lay the shirt down flat: a Tailored-Fit has a larger chest than waist measurement. It is therefore the perfect alternative if you find Slim-Fit too tight.
